Mark the Moment

I’m a big believer in marking the moment. My Daughter Lilly just turned 5, and like every year we take pictures on her birthday. I personally like the pictures that tell a story rather than the “perfect” smile or where your child looks his or her best. I take the scratches, bumps and bruises and leave them IN the photo, as well as all the “out takes”. I love it all. For me I want to look back and feel like I’m experiencing my child, rather than seeing a picture of her if that makes sense. Well as usual I let Lilly go to town in all her silly glory and I’m so glad we marked this moment. I have no idea what she will be like as a 6, 7, or 8+ but I know she will never be the same. It almost makes me cry to think of her changing, or becoming less silly, but those are tears for another time. Look out world, this is My Lilly and she is 5!

I can’t resist the two of them together. It’s silly times 2.

(and what little brother doesn’t want to be just like his big sis?!)

He is still getting his moves down but I think Lilly better watch out because he is goo-oo-ood for a 2 year old!

I hope this made you smile
