My top two photo suggestions for moms . . .

#1. Keep a camera in sight.
Life gets busy and it’s hard to remember to take out the camera, but so often my favorite memories are the day to day ones. The “unremarkable” moments are the sweetest and if I SEE my camera, I’m more likely to pick it up.

I often keep mine on a high bookshelf in the living room that’s much to high for my climbers, but just about even with my line of sight.

#2. Get over the mess.

I’m saying this to myself more than to you! Sometimes I hesitate to grab a camera because there are a few too many piles in the background, or the girls’ hair looks a mess. I can almost promise you that the messy hair/messy house photos will be my FAVORITES when my girls are grown and I’m missing their messy fingerprints on the windows.

These are a few I took last fall on an unremarkable rainy day with a film camera I had lying around and in my line of sight . . .
