For my first Mother’s Day gift, Erin (my husband) took me to a bookstore, told me to choose anything I liked, and offered to be 100% on childcare duty anytime I picked up the book.  I had a three month old at the time, and he couldn’t have chosen a more magical gift.

A few months ago I read this book and fell in love with the idea of stitching over children’s drawings to preserve them.  Eva sketched these out for me and bookmarks for the grandmas were born.  Well, one for each grandma and one for me and my new book . . .   ; )

My own mother always asked for Happy Attitudes and fresh lilacs . . . so now I ask for them too . . . but really . . .  I already have the gift:

What are your Mother’s Day traditions?
