Raspberry Picking

Just last Tuesday Angie, her Mom and Dad, two sisters and both her girls joined Lilly, Finn and myself at the Bolles Organic farm for some strawberry and raspberry picking. Raspberry picking wasn’t officially open yet but the owner of the farm was nice enough to let us give it a go, and boy did Angie’s parents find a ton. I mostly took pictures and hung out feeding ripe fruit to the chirping birds (kids), which turned out to be a full time job. At checkout I offered to pay for what we ate, but the Farmer just smiled and said no, that’s a part of the experience. Both kids were asleep less than a quarter of a mile from the farm. A great time was had by all.

Eva is one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen… and she’s smart too.

A trip to the farm wouldn’t be complete without a cat. This one was so amazingly chill. I kept waiting for it to lunge at our faces and claw our eyes out, but no, it just purred enjoying every minute of it. My Mom’s voice was in my head saying “I hope nobody gets ringworm”, and thankfully nobody did. Also, I just have to point out Zoe’ is holding a bone we found in the field.

My Baby girl. Gosh I love her so much!

Angie and her family made jam out of the berries. They graciously sent us home with some of the raspberries they picked and they were all gone by sunset.
