The family I photographed today was just about as cute as they come. However, it was clear from the beginning of the shoot that it wasn’t going to be easy, after all these little dudes had things to do and adventures to have.. with the exception of the youngest, he was a complete ham the entire time. I have to give these parents some serious props for the tricks they were pulling out of their hats to keep the kids interested in the photo-shoot. The tickling I have to say was the shining star of all the tricks. A tickle just about cured any situation, and a snack. Snacks were key. If I’m being completely honest, I was a little worried leaving the shoot. I wasn’t sure that I nailed it, or if I captured their love in an artful way. After looking at them and editing them, I took a deep breath, and realized something that I didn’t notice while I was shooting. These parents melt my heart. The love they feel for their children is so fierce and deep, some of the moments made me want to cry. To be loved, even when you a acting like a silly wild boy, is everything. Here are some of my favorites.
The image of John holding his son on the lower right of this grid, is one of the images that breaks my heart wide open.
The love just keeps on coming…
I love how connected and tender this moment is.
I know I posted this one earlier, but I just wanted to see it again. It makes my heart smile.
